The confidence ladder

Every claim on this wiki sits on one of four rungs. Each page states its default rung in the line under the title; only claims that deviate from the default are underlined in the text, orange for inferred, violet for reported. Hover an underline for the specifics.

The last-updated date carries its own cue: it turns amber past one month and red past two — these things go stale fast, so treat a red page as a snapshot, not the current state.

tried Someone ran it recently and it worked: verified live in the product, or a dated first-hand report from someone on the call.

reported A dated first-hand account from someone else — a forum thread, an issue tracker, a changelog discussion. Not reproduced here.

documented The vendor’s current documentation states it. Docs lag interfaces, so a documented claim can be stale the day after it’s checked — that’s what the page’s last-updated date is for.

inferred Stated nowhere; follows from documented behavior. Always paired with the concrete test that would settle it.
