Can Claude connect two Google accounts at once?

Last updated 2026-08-17 · Confidence: reported — the one-account limit comes from a dated third-party guide and a July 2026 first-hand account; Anthropic’s docs use only singular phrasing; whether each connector can hold a different account is inferred.

Not through the built-in connectors — each holds one Google sign-in, and connecting another replaces it. The fixes that work live on Google’s side (forwarding, sharing) or in running a second setup.

Anthropic never documents the limit, but every page assumes one account: the Gmail integration doc says “Claude accesses only data from your connected Google account”, and the Workspace connectors article describes reconnecting “your Google connector” in the singular. A third-party guide updated 2026-07-04 states it outright: “Claude connects to one Google account at a time… Connect a second Gmail and it replaces the first.” A first-hand account from July 2026 matches — two-account handling was poor enough to keep an entire Claude setup on the account it was first connected to.

Whether Gmail could sit on one account and Drive on another is stated nowhere (inferred not — a five-minute test settles it: connect Gmail to account A, then Drive to account B, then fetch the latest email).

Settings > Connectors > disconnect; the next Google request re-triggers sign-in, where you pick the other account. Google’s side lists and revokes the grant at myaccount.google.com/connections.

Google-side aggregation: one account that sees both

Make the connected account see the second one’s data using Google’s own sharing:

  • Download the second account’s files to a local working folder and skip the connector — the same move that helps scope a connector down.
  • Run a second Claude account in a separate browser profile — see account migration.
  • Build a custom connector (an MCP server) that holds several accounts; community multi-account Gmail servers exist, at the cost of trusting their code with your mail.

Can Cowork or Claude connect two Gmail accounts at once? No — one Google sign-in per connector; a second connection replaces the first. Forward the second inbox into the connected one, or swap the connection when needed.
